GRT Marketing

About Brea

My name is Brea Woodson, and I’m the founder of GRT Marketing.

I built this business around a simple belief:

Marketing should be strategic, intentional, and aligned — not reactive.

Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked in marketing across Fortune 500 brands including Anheuser-Busch, Nestlé Purina, Wells Fargo, and Fidelity Investments. I’ve also served as head of marketing for a small, owner-led medical practice founded by my dad.

Those two worlds taught me something important:

  • Large organizations move with structure.
  • Small businesses are often sold tactics.

And when business owners are handed tactics and visibility without strategy, things get noisy and confusing fast.

Websites get built before positioning is clear.
Ads run before goals are defined.
Content is posted to stay “consistent,” not to move anything forward.

Activity increases.
Clarity does not.

Because without clearly defined goals, marketing has nothing to organize around.

Before we talk platforms, content, or visibility, we define what you’re actually working toward.

Growth?
Stability?
Retention?
Positioning for a new offer?
A lighter schedule?
A stronger pipeline?

Different goals require different strategy.

With a background in marketing research and statistics, I’ve always approached marketing through patterns, systems, and cause-and-effect.

But I’ve also learned something many strategists overlook:

The business owner matters.

How you make decisions.
How you use energy.
How you lead.
What season of life you’re in.

That’s why my work blends foundational marketing strategy with practical Human Design insight — not as a personality trend, but as an operational lens.

Because universal strategies assume everyone should show up the same way.
That’s simply not true.

When marketing is built on imitation, friction builds.
When strategy is built around clear goals and aligned with how you naturally operate, consistency follows.

That’s the work.

Through my Marketing Alignment Sessions and 1:1 advisory partnerships, I help established wellness and service-based business owners:

• Clarify business and marketing goals
• Translate those goals into focused strategy
• Strengthen positioning and messaging
• Build sustainable lead generation systems
• Create retention structures that support long-term growth
• Make grounded, confident marketing decisions

No hacks.
No chasing trends.
No rebuilding every quarter.

Just structure, clarity, and forward movement.

What Brings Me Joy

I love learning. Truly.

Marketing, data, psychology, leadership, Human Design — if it helps someone think more clearly, I’m interested.

Outside of work, joy looks like:

My wife and kids.
My Episcopal church community.
Friends and long conversations.
Hiking, travel, and being outdoors — especially when it involves fresh air and a trail.
Live sports and live shows.
Humor that’s clever and human.
Animals, especially our Havanese, Addy, and tuxedo kitty, Bubba.

My Values & Commitment

I am deeply committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and believe that everyone—regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or ability—deserves the same fundamental rights and opportunities. I also believe strongly in helping those in need, in less fortunate situations, and in causes that help keep us and our families safe.

In honor of these beliefs, I have pledged 2% of GRT Marketing’s gross revenue to organizations and causes dedicated to building a more equitable, kind, and safe world.

Why 2%? Because it’s manageable at any stage, sustainable long-term, and—most importantly—impactful. Real change happens when we consistently invest in a better future, and this is my way of putting my values into action.
