GRT Marketing

My Mission is to Help You Stay Focused & Consistent

My name is Brea Woodson and I’m the founder of GRT Marketing. I have created and will continue to create this business with you at the center. The crux of marketing is to serve an unmet need well and I take that seriously.

I discovered Marketing as an undergrad and further discovered statistics in my core Marketing classes. When I looked around and realized nobody else was having as much fun as I was with it, I thought this might be my calling.  So I went on to get my Masters in Marketing Research, and have been enjoying nerding out in the two decades since.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work on accounts and/or for multiple Fortune 500 companies like Anheuser-Busch, Nestle Purina, Wells Fargo, and Fidelity Investments.  It gave me great insight into operations, strategy, and also gave me the opportunity to meet some really brilliant people along the way.  I have also spent a good portion of my career as head of marketing for a small medical business that was started by my Dad.

Working in these various roles—especially as head of marketing—gave me first-hand insight into the chaos business owners face when it comes to marketing. Everywhere they turn, businesses and agencies are pitching the “best,” “newest,” and “most foolproof” solutions ever.

With my background in marketing and a strategic mindset, I could filter out the noise and stay on track. But without that foundation, it’s way too easy to get distracted, overwhelmed, or stuck.

That’s exactly why I created the GRT Framework—and why I guide my clients through it in our bootcamps. By following this proven, step-by-step approach, my clients can:

✅ Stay focused on what actually matters
✅ Ignore what doesn’t matter (goodbye, squirrels!)
✅ Stay consistent in marketing themselves

My mission is simple: to help service-based business owners simplify their marketing with a step-by-step plan, so they can attract more clients, gain confidence, and grow their business—without the overwhelm.

What Brings Me Joy

I love learning, like really love it. I spend my free time soaking up knowledge and really enjoy grabbing onto those nuggets that propel both myself and my clients forward.  I love to share what I know and watching my clients and those in my community succeed truly brings me so much joy.

Other things that bring me joy:

  • My wife and kids.
  • The goodness of humankind.
  • Jesus and my Episcopal church community.
  • Friends.
  • Family.
  • Travel.
  • Humor.  Aside from my daily family shenangians, Fortune Feimster, Ted Lasso, Tommy Boy, and Smartless all make me laugh.
  • Organizations that fight for what’s right. The Human Rights Campaign, ACLU, Everytown, and so many others that do so much good work.
  • Volleyball.  All my local teams: Creighton, UNO, Nebraska, Supernovas.
  • Good beer.  St Louis’s 4 Hands’ Citywide and Statewide are two of my favorites.
  • Live shows.  Anything really: concerts, broadway, theater.
  • Animals, especially my sweet Havanese puppy, Addy and tuxedo kitty, Bubba.

My Values & Commitment

I am deeply committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and believe that everyone—regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or ability—deserves the same fundamental rights and opportunities. I also believe strongly in helping those in need, in less fortunate situations, and in causes that help keep us and our families safe.

In honor of these beliefs, I have pledged 2% of GRT Marketing’s gross revenue to organizations and causes dedicated to building a more equitable, kind, and safe world.

Why 2%? Because it’s manageable at any stage, sustainable long-term, and—most importantly—impactful. Real change happens when we consistently invest in a better future, and this is my way of putting my values into action.
